This is a live demonstration of a root canal treatment on an upper left first molar. I was recently given some endodontic files to review called EdgeFile X7 - which have a narrow taper at 4%. The main reason to use a narrow taper is to reduce the removal of coronal dentine - with the view to make the tooth stronger, and therefore an increased prognosis over time. These files have a very good cutting efficiency, but I feel like the glidepath file is a little on the thick side - which may cause problems in some cases.
