Controlled Ovarian Hyperstimulation (COH) in IUI cycles might improve pregnancy rate by increasing the number of oocytes available for fertilization and implantation. But in high responders, COH may expose women to the risk of multiple pregnancy and OHSS. With the advent of GnRH antagonists, it became practical and possibly safer to convert stimulated IUI cycles to IVF instead of canceling cycles.
