MP (Member of Parliament) and MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) are both elected representatives, but they serve different levels of government:

*MP (Member of Parliament):* MPs are elected to the national parliament and represent constituencies at the federal level. In India, this means they are part of either the Lok Sabha (House of the People) or the Rajya Sabha (Council of States). Their primary role is to discuss and pass national legislation and address issues affecting the entire country.

*MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly):* MLAs are elected to state legislative assemblies and represent constituencies at the state level. Their responsibilities include debating and passing state laws, overseeing the functioning of the state government, and addressing issues specific to their state.

In summary, MPs deal with national issues, while MLAs focus on state-level matters.
