We complete six examples of proving if a subset of a vector space is a subspace or not using the two step subspace test. This subspace test requires we check for closure under vector addition and closure under scalar multiplication. If W is a subset of a vector space V and is closed as previously mentioned, then W is a subspace of V. Our example will concern an arbitrary vector space, the vector space R3, and the vector space Mnn of square matrices of dimension nxn. #linearalgebra
