Every year, on the Saturday before the third Sunday in July, people from around the country gather to sing from
"The Sacred Harp," a four shape, shaped note singing book. Adherents love to sing this music, although there is no audience nor performance, it is a gathering, an hymn jam session, if you will, with a repertoire of well over 500 songs from "The Sacred Harp."
