Face to Face Dialogue Task

As part of both the Certified Provisional Interpreter and Certified Interpreter test, candidates must demonstrate their ability to interpret between an English role-player and a role-player speaking another language.

This video is a demonstration of the test format and all participants are actors. The aim of the video is to demonstrate how the test runs, rather than what success looks like.

The candidate in this video is interpreting in the consecutive mode, which is what is required for this type of dialogue task.

*Please note this is a short sample of the task. The actual task runs longer: approximately 13 minutes for CPI and 20-25 minutes for CI.
