An indictment filed against a Prince George's County police officer was announced by Prince George's County State's Attorney Aisha Braveboy.

Prince George's County Police Cpl. Dexter Shin has been indicted on charges of misconduct in office, officials said.

The allegation is that at 5 a.m. on March 3, Cpl. Shin parked his personal car at a Laurel firehouse and got in his marked cruiser to come to work. It's alleged that as he pulled out of the parking lot he hit and injured a pedestrian, an 81-year-old man.
