Jidvei is the largest family business in Romanian wine, but the Jidvei family means a lot more than the 2,500 hectares of vineyards and the four wine cellars. It means local development, the recovery and valorization of history, and integrated agriculture, up to the level of self-sustainability, all with local resources. Over 100 million euros invested since the privatization of the former state-owned farm in 1999 have led to the development of one of the largest gravitational wine cellars in Europe, Crama Tăuni, the first fully computerized winemaking system, and the first private grapevine nursery in Romania. 🍷
