Cribyn and Fan y Big from the Talybont Reservoir • Brecon Beacons at their best

Описание к видео Cribyn and Fan y Big from the Talybont Reservoir • Brecon Beacons at their best

What a glorious day out in the Brecons! Neil and I had a fantastic trek, up from the Talybont Reservoir, heading west to pick up the ridge path to Fan y Big. We of course did the usual photo shoot on the rock there before cracking on to tick off Cribyn once again.

On the way back we diverted a little to visit the monument which marks the location of the Wellington Bomber crash site and the place where five airmen lost their lives in an accident in July 1942.

Neil and I had a first class day out on the mountains. It was hot, and we were getting low on water, but we were so pleased with the clear views and scenes all day.

Taking care on the hills:
I’m not a pro, expert or any kind of leader on the mountains. I step out for fun and my own personal enjoyment. What I do is at my own risk. I do not suggest anyone does what I do, the way I do it, where I go or anything else in my videos. I’m always mindful of my own safety and doing what is right with respect to the environment and others on the hills. If you watch my videos, please enjoy them as they are and don’t necessarily assume they are examples of excellent practice. I’m learning along the way too.

As always, every fell-walker goes out on their route taking on responsibility for their own safety and wellbeing, accessing areas that are open to the public or asking for permission as necessary. I totally support the #LeaveNoTrace campaign and encourage everyone to follow that too. So, if you venture out, please respect the environment, be considerate to others along the route, stay safe, wear, carry and use the clothes and equipment that you need for your trek, have ample food and drink for the duration of your trek, navigate carefully and keep within the limitations of your fitness and abilities. Let others know where you plan to go and when you will return.
Stay Safe. Enjoy!
