When my friends invited me to participate in their Tin Hau celebrations i wasn't quite sure what to expect. I assumed it was like typically visiting temples and offering incense.

I was so wrong! It was such a fun and cool experience. I saw a very traditional aspect of Hong Kong that i didn't realise existed anymore.

The two day celebrations gave me an insight into the deep rooted community traditions which the old and young all participate.
