Martin Jaguar Recurve Bow 40Lb

Thanks to the Greyarcher1 for all of his really helpful vids, fantastic wealth of knowledge and skill, ManaoProductions for the clear and informative instruction and grttaxi for the great shop talk and cool tips. Lot's of other people have posted helpful stuff on bows and that's been helpful to so I thought I would post something in reply. Hope it helps someone out as well.

This is my first Re-Curve bow and I am happy with how the Martin handles. For the price and how it is built it's not a bad deal. I don't grip the handle like a sword or bike, but the base of the shelf still digs into the thumb knuckle, hence the removal of some material...

Three arrows, Bow, string, stringer, arm guard, finger tab, nock point, spare arrow rest (replacement), Allen key, I think that was it. In a cardboard box. A$345. http://www.hoddywellarchery.com.au/
It's about 1500mm (59") long unstrung and a bit shorter strung. It shoots nice and is fairly accurate if I do my bit. Mostly it's surprising when I hit something!
STRING
I made a replacement Bow String after about 150 arrows, the original was too thick (16 strands and really thick serving) It kept ripping the nocks out of the arrows and stretched about 50mm... brace height went from about 190 to 140 something?
New 12 strand Brownell B50 Archery Bow string Material 1/4lb Dacron, Red waxed, B50 string fitted made @ 1220mm (48"), brace @ 192mm (71/2") new settled to a brace height of 182mm (7 and something") and a few turns, 56m/s (170fps)

ARROWS
28" Removable Point Fibreglass Arrows, 5/16th 100gr point, Bohning signature nock or Easton Super nock, super uni bushings. I like them as they are $4.50 a piece, bend nice and shoot straight. http://www.hoddywellarchery.com.au/
I have began to re-fletch with the Blazers only as I prefer them.
Zwickey Judo Point 100gn are used for small targets on grass to remove the "splinter" effect. I've lost about 15 or so arrows into the ground? Where do they go???

REST
Cavalier Free Flyte Micro Adjust rest. Nice but has no up/down adjustments. I would be happy if it was about 5mm higher up, just to clear the shelf by a bit more. I'll work on it.
