Drawing Accurately in SketchUp

This is a basic video on how to draw accurately in SketchUp by typing in dimensions as you draw and modify entities. I go over how to use the VCB to input dimensions as you create shapes, and how you can continue to type in dimensions if you make a mistake.

If you need to make changes to entities after you've created them, you use one of the modification tools on a selection of entities, and type in dimensions or use guides to snap to in order to create accurate movements. The scale tool can even accept dimensions as input, instead of a scale factor.

Remember, SketchUp models in real life units, and it doesn't care which units you use. You can type in feet, inches, cm, m, mm, and more, even if your model default units are specified as something different.
