Hazrat Dawood, known for his wisdom and justice, once set out with his army on a military campaign. During their absence, some of his people, particularly women, neglected their religious duties and engaged in inappropriate behavior. One particular incident involved a group of women bathing in public view.

In response to this impropriety, Allah sent a divine punishment upon them. The Quran mentions in Surah Al-A'raf (7:166) that these individuals were transformed into monkeys as a result of their disobedience and disrespect. This transformation served as a visible sign of their degradation and a lesson for others.

Hazrat Dawood, upon returning and seeing this, beseeched Allah for forgiveness on behalf of his people. He prayed for their restoration and repented sincerely for their wrongdoing. Allah, in His mercy, eventually accepted Hazrat Dawood's prayers, and those who repented were restored to their original human forms.

This incident serves as a reminder of the consequences of disobedience and the importance of maintaining moral conduct and piety in Islam. It highlights the significance of repentance and seeking forgiveness from Allah when one strays from the righteous path.
