Afghanistan - Rabbani Forces & Taliban Casualties

After a major setback at the weekend, Afghanistan's student-led
Taliban militia on Thursday (23/3) claimed key military victories
near Kabul and appeared to be consolidating power in the southern
provinces On Sunday, forces loyal to the President pushed the frontline 30 km (18miles) outside Kabul. Taliban fighters remained prepared for a counter attack were hidden in bunkers dug on the side of the rocket-ruined road, about two km (one mile) from the government soldiers.
