Example of Motorcycle closed-course exam - Tecnic Driving School

The following video is an example of the closed-course motorcycle exam. The closed-course motorcycle exam is comprised of 7 exercises that are designed to evaluate your motorcycle riding skill level. The first part of this video describes each exercise and the manoeuvre to be completed; the second part demonstrates the entire motorcycle exam in real time.

In this video, you will an exemple of the closed-course motorcycle exam exercises in Quebec. The exam in this video is very similar to the one that was valid for the 2016 season.

#1 Put the motorcycle in motion and come to a stop
#2 Negotiate a slalom course
#3 Low-speed control
#4 Negotiate a curve
#5 Make a 90-degree right turn from a stop
#6 Obstacle avoidance
#7 Emergency braking manoeuvre

Once you have successfully completed the closed-course motorcycle exam you will receive your 6A probationary motorcycle licence, which permits you to ride while accompanied for a period of 11 months, before taking your motorcycle road test.
