What is real? If you talk about what you can feel, what you can smell, taste, and see, then "real" is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain. Dr. Nordengen will take you on a journey to demonstrate the concept of perception. You will discover that "real" is a desert, and "perception" a lush jungle.

Kaja Nordengen is a medical doctor in the North-Western part of Norway. Defending her doctoral thesis last year at the age of 26, she was one of the youngest ever medical doctors to have also completed a PhD in Norway. Dr. Nordengen´s work as a medical professional endeavors to make neuroscience accessible to the wider public, through e.g. teaching of brain anatomy to visitors to the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology, and through publication of topical articles on the internet and in newspapers. She teaches human anatomy at the University of Oslo, where she also works as a teacher to uncover some of the many remaining secrets of the brain.
