Welcome to Washington state! Our primary hub on this journey through the Pacific Northwest for the next few days.

In today’s episode my father and I will begin an extensive drive 150 miles north through dense forests, fishing towns, evergreen-laced mountains, turquoise-colored waterfalls and more. Our final destination is the Kalaloch Lodge (pronounced as “CLAY-LOCK) located within Olympic National Park - voted best Northwest Escape. This oceanside paradise within the town of Forks, WA features numerous cabins with beautifully decorated interiors, as well as direct access to various beaches and unique hiking experiences. “With its incredible range of precipitation and elevation, diversity is the hallmark of Olympic National Park. Encompassing nearly a million acres, the park protects a vast wilderness, thousands of years of human history, and several distinctly different ecosystems, including glacier-capped mountains, old-growth temperate rainforests, and over 70 miles of wild coastline.” (nps.gov)

As always, sit back, relax and enjoy an incredible journey through one of the most geologically diverse regions of the United States. Don’t forget to like, comment and subscribe for all of the latest travel content.
