Tree Squirrel (Paraxerus cepapi) Alarm Call & Noises | Squirrel Video

The Southern Tree Squirrel (Paraxerus cepapi), has quite a few common names: Tree Squirrel, Smith's Bush Squirrel, Mopane Squirrel and Southern African Tree Squirrel.

They are a common and entertainting rodent found all throughout the Kruger National Park. They are a very good indication of if there is a Leopard or Snake around, because they alarm call like crazy and move their tails up and down. The alarm call can be heard in this video, which was taken in Pretoriuskop Rest Camp.
