Queers of Calgary has built a space that fosters connection, acceptance, and pride. Through shared stories, community activities, and a commitment to breaking down barriers, they work to uplift one another, creating a safe haven where everyone can experience the fullness of their identities and find strength in unity. .

We’re thrilled to announce the premiere of 68 brand-new documentaries from the TELUS STORYHIVE Anniversary Documentary Edition—our biggest edition to date, created in celebration of STORYHIVE’s 10-year anniversary.

This remarkable collection highlights the passion, creativity and lived experiences of new and emerging filmmakers across British Columbia and Alberta. Each film tells a compelling local story, and together they showcase the depth, diversity and impact of community-driven storytelling in Canada. From a legendary 24-hour ice race in Northern Alberta, to disability reimagined through art in Calgary, to innovative sustainability efforts on Vancouver Island’s coast—and so much more—these films celebrate the people and places that shape our communities.
