In this video, we bring you The Sea-Can Cottage at Ghost Lake Cottage Club, in Calgary, Canada built using 4 shipping containers by Blocks Container Structures. Stay tuned to find out more about this modern shipping container cottage. This beautiful two storey house is built using four repurposed shipping containers creating a modern cottage of over 960 square feet of habitable space. The design utilizes two 40-foot containers at the bottom placed in parallel side by side and two 20-foot containers at the top stitched together. There is a separate unit built with a pair of 20 foot containers on the side of the main house. The containers were remodeled at the factory to lock up stage, where all the windows and doors carved out, and then the units insulated from top to bottom with a spray foam. The containers are then then transported to site and craned onto a concrete foundation and master crafted on-site with finishing works drywall, painting floors and all amenities installed.
