Kagoshima Aquarium

Compared to the better known aquariums in Japan such as the one in Osaka, Kagoshima Aquarium is small by comparison. But this compact venue is perfect for an afternoon or morning. The large Kuroshio Great Water Tank is the standout with Manta Rays and a Whale Shark occupying this space. The Jellyfish collection in the Deep Sea of Kagoshima exhibit is comprehensive and the outstanding views of Mt Sakurajima from the 5th Floor must not be missed.
