Linus the Lionhearted (Original Long Intro & Outro)

Описание к видео Linus the Lionhearted (Original Long Intro & Outro)

you know how 1980s cartoons based on toys kinda get flack for basically being commercials? well how about a 1960s cartoon dedicated to cereal mascots? linus the lionhearted was a cartoon made in 1964 and is mainly about simple stories involving the mascots of the general foods' post cereals. linus from crispy critters, sugar bear from sugar crisp, lovable truly from alpha-bits, so-hi from rice krinkles, and rory raccoon from post toasties. i found out about it last night when digging through old sugar crisp stuff and was kinda fascinated.

now i know that it's literally a cereal mascot cartoon and must been made to help out sell the products but like the 1980s cartoons i've mentioned, it's kinda unfair to completely judge and write it off by what they're trying to sell because i personally judge those types of cartoons for what they are on its own (story, characters, that type of stuff) just like any normal cartoon. in linus's case, it's not bad and i like the sugar bear parts (but why did they have an evil wizard in some episodes???). amazingly, most of the episodes are available to watch on youtube although only 4 episodes out of 39 are lost which is still impressive given that it never had an official home video release.

anyway, this is the original long versions of the opening and closing songs since they did cut them down short later on in its lifespan. why? i don't know but here it is
