ALL OF OUR HANDS - THE NEW ALBUM

Completed at Real World Studios (Peter Gabriel's legendary recording studio), mixed in Los Angeles by renowned sound designer John Hendicott and backed by Arts Council England, James’ new album ‘All Of Our Hands’ is a feast of uplifting songs and acoustic instrumentation, featuring a wide range of western and world instruments, choirs, gospel singers, live band recording and sparkling audio production.

The 'All Of Our Hands' project has been backed by hundreds of people across Europe and beyond, who have taken opportunities to follow the album production, sing at recording sessions, engage in the album artwork and attend house concerts. The project is rooted in community and continually provides opportunities for audiences to be part of the creative process, go behind the scenes and meet James at online collaborative events.

The album raised over £16,000 from fans through a successful crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.com (it was the #1 trending music campaign globally on the platform when launched). Guest vocalists include Kyla Jade (American gospel singer, finalist on ‘The Voice’ USA), Carmody (London-based vocalist who collaborates with Tom Misch) and gospel choir ‘Soul Of The City’, as part of an international line up of over 100 musicians and singers who contributed.

Covering a variety of musical styles including swing-jazz (Love Will Never Leave Your Heart), gospel (All Of Our Hands), americana (Gypsy Roots), piano ballad (Small Corner) and traditional folk (Olde England Alive), the album is tied together by James’ rich, resonant vocals and the seamless playing of a live band. This is an album of great vision, that honours the sacred in our lives and calls to a brighter world.
