Building a Vardo | DIY Step by Step

When my business slowed down dramatically due to COVID19 I decided to get creative and to build my Dream Gypsy Caravan to do some more traveling. Originally I wanted to build a Tiny House on wheels, but I decided on this lighter, "Hybrid" version. After doing some research I started out by buying a used 7x 12 flat bed trailer in March of 2020 and "stick built" Misty from there. Please note that I am not a professional builder, but I do consider myself very handy.

It took me a little over a year of steady work, and in May of 2021 I finally took Misty out on her Maiden Voyage. But that is another story.....and another video. ;-)

My hope is to inspire those who are interested in building their own little home through this video. You will be able to watch me build Misty step by step while I am pointing out lessons learned, resources and basic advice. I also want to entertain you just a little....So make sure to watch it all the way. I will have some fun facts for you at the end.
