Just 30 minutes from Hollywood’s major recording studios and rehearsal rooms, Thousand Oaks, California is home to a handful of the world’s busiest, most successful drummers and percussionists. The list of “artists-in-residence” covers the musical universe and includes Gregg Bissonette (Ringo Starr), Curt Bisquera (Sarah MacLachlan), Thomas Lang (independent), Luis Conté (Genesis) and Doane Perry (Jethro Tull) along with Lenny Castro (Toto), JR Robinson (Michael Jackson), Burleigh Drummond (Ambrosia) and Myron Grombacher (Pat Benatar).

Together, these world-renowned players are the members of The Thousand Oaks Drum Club and they convene at Drum Channel to share the fascinating, inspiring, and personal, behind-the-scenes stories of their lives and musical experiences in the studio and on the road.

In the first segment, The Thousand Oaks Drum Club founders discuss the history and evolution of “The Woodland Hills Drum Club”, their dear friend, Mark Craney, and original members. Luis Conté shares some great stories about working with Steve Gadd and everyone shares their experiences of being on the road.

Continuing with segment two, The TO Drum Club members share some incredible stories about Jeff Porcaro and life in the studio along with an in-depth discussion of Jeff's unique "time feel". It's a great lesson from the best of the best. Later, Doane Perry shares a "lightbulb moment" about his own career.

And in the third and final segment, Gregg Bissonette dissects the classic “British Rock” drum feel and discusses double drumming with Ringo. There is also a discussion about how successful studio players are able to make isolated drum tracks feel like they’re being played with a full, live band.
