Automated Compilation & Distribution of Billing Reports | Robotic Process Automation Video

Introducing Sonic, a software robot developed by Tangent Solutions, who compiles and distributes billing reports on a weekly basis. The billing report needs to be compiled from multiple data sources and, once retrieved, the data must be validated and segmented into individual reports for perusal purposes. Due to the time (approx. 4-8 hours) and volume (approx. 200 accounts) associated with compiling and distributing the billing reports, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) was implemented to reduce human intervention by automating all manual and repetitive activities that are weighing down valuable resources.

Sonic's responsibilities are:
(1) Data Collection: This includes retrieving the billing data from the various portals by exporting and saving the relevant reports as well as logging data requests and monitoring an email inbox until a response is received.
(2) Data Verification: This includes verifying if duplicate transactions have been captured in the dataset.
(3) Data Preparation & Distribution: This includes capturing the extracted data into a predefined format, segmenting the data into individual reports, and distributing the reports to the respective stakeholders.
