Using a replica scale model that was crafted from her real-life apartment, SIESKI’s latest video contextualizes the landscape of the brain as it relates to the sensation of negative thought patterns. Within the stark, white walls of the space, SIESKI cycles through repetitive movements, establishing a sense of claustrophobia, and a desire to break free from mundane rhythms.

This is SIESKI’s second time time working with director, Witch Haezl (Kate Harrison), and choreographer, Paige Sayles, following their Summer 2021 collab on queer-femme anthem, 'Lady Deity,' featured in the nation-wide Vizzybility Project presented by Canada's Drag Race Winner of Season 1, Priyanka, and Queer Collective Toronto.

Artist Note from SIESKI:

‘Scale Model,’ has been in the works since January of this year upon receiving the green light on funding, however, I’ve been dreaming up this concept since first writing the song 3 years ago. Over time, the piece has grown, evolved, and morphed into a vision that reflects the change in perspective I’ve experienced in my mid to late 20’s.

As much as this piece explores notions of being trapped and stuck, it is ultimately an insight into altering perspective, gaining agency over my own thoughts, emotions, and feelings, and finding freedom from destructive self-sabotage.
