Wisdom of Stone

The Crystalians are crystallized humanoids; living glintstone that may be cosmic dust or meteorites that long ago crashed into the Lands Between from the void of space. Crystalians are found around glintstone deposits protecting the stone from those that wish to harm it, as the stone contains the lives of their ancestors and residual life. Glintstone is currently used as an energy source by the academy to achieve powerful sorceries, while old sorcerers used primal glintstone blades to slice open their hearts to imbue a primal glintstone with their soul. Did these old sorcerers understand the wisdom of stone and use the glintstone as a way to gain immortality?
