Tom Adair was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2010 for his 'Contribution to the America Landscape of Music and Culture'.

He started his career writing poems for The Saturday Evening Post (infamous Noman Rockwell covers), then went on to a writing collaboration with Matt Dennis for The Tommy Dorsey band and its, then, unknown singer, Frank Sinatra. Mixed in with his songwriting, Adair was an intrical part in the early years with Walt Disney and Disneyland. He wrote songs and skits for The Original Mickey Mouse Club (1955-1959) and the 70s Mickey Mouse Club (1977-1979), as well as, for Disney attractions The Country Bear Jamboree and The Golden Horseshoe Revue.
