কিংবদন্তী শিল্পী শচীন দেব বর্মনের (১৯০৬-১৯৭৫) কন্ঠে অবিস্মরণীয় হয়ে আছে গানটি। ত্রিপুরা রাজ পরিবারের এই মানুষটি বাংলা ও ভারতীয় সঙ্গীতকে যে কী অমূল্য ধনে ধনী করেছেন, ইতিহাস তার সাক্ষী। আত্মজীবনীতে লিখেছিলেন, তাঁর সঙ্গীত জীবনের প্রথম দুই গুরু মানব ও আনোয়ার, রাজ পরিবারের দুই কাজের লোক যাঁরা তাঁকে পালা করে ভাটিয়ালি আর রামায়ণী শোনাতেন। এই গানটির সুর শচীন কত্তার। কথাঃ কবি জসীমউদ্দিন(১৯০৩-১৯৭৬, ফরিদপুর অধুনা বাংলাদেশ)। জসীমউদ্দিনের কথা আর শচীন দেব বর্মণের সুরে 'রঙ্গিলা' যেন হয়ে ওঠে, সর্বাথেই, লোকসঙ্গীতের নবায়ন, ঐতিহ্যের বিস্তার।

Legendary singer Sachin Deb Burman (1906-1975) makes the song immortal. He is the composer of it as well. The lyricist is Jasimuddin (1903-1976 Faridpur present Bangladesh) Sachin Deb Burman, popularly known as Sachin Karta ( Lord Sachin), from the royal family of Tripura, enriches both Bengalis and Indian music with his unparalleled style. He wrote in his autobiography that his Gurus were the two male servants named Mahadev and Anwar at the palace. They would routinely sing to him Bhatiyali and Ramayani. The present number insinuates the opening of a new genre in the arena of Bengali folk music.
