EIGHT WASTE LIFECYCLE EXAMPLE
In this video Joe Donarumo shares a real-life example of how he experienced the eight wastes on a jobsite in allowing too much ductwork to come to his project at the wrong time. The mechanical engineer had great news that all the ductwork for Level 2 could be delivered at once and early. Joe thought this was great and would help them be more productive -- turns out it wasn't.

Instead, he experienced ALL eight of the wastes. He had overproduction waste, inventory waste, motion waste, defects, non-utilized talent, transportation waste, extra processing waste, and waiting. Watch this short video to hear how it all went down.

As Joe ends the example, he stresses that it's key to know and even foresee waste in real time and to be ruthless in eliminating waste on your job site.
