Steel fabrication technology has evolved to encompass several unique processes. The P 27 drilling machine makes plate detail processing quick and easy. Automatic plate layout of hole locations and scribing eliminate manual labor to generate layout positions. The stations of the automatic tool changer can accommodate multiple tools to generate different hole sizes, scribing, countersinking, tapping, marking and more.

The innovative “Direct Drive” spindle technology innovated by FICEP for structural steel and plate fabrication delivers 100% of the motors power to the tool. The elimination of the need to transmit the motors power through a gearbox drastically reduces the number of parts and the related maintenance.

Angles can also be processed in addition of plates and flats. The material clamp-repositioning feature permits parts longer than the table travel for enhanced versatility.

An optional hard stamp marking press can be provided for automatic part identification. The part marks are sufficient to be viewed after painting or galvanizing.
