Round 1, Will Highlights:
Janine/Crobat EX are here to buff & evade
Koga/Crobat EX buff only
Roxie/Scolipede EX serve up Poison Jabs & sync moves
I felt like going for a good old-fashioned buff & strike team, and this felt like the right spot to do it. Use Janine and Koga to buff up and hope for some evasions. Get Scolipede ready for the first sync move, and with any luck, your sync move will crit and wipe out the side mons. If not, queue up Poison Jabs to take them out strategically: always make sure to get moves ready to stay ahead of the sync move countdown. By the time you reach your second sync move, you should have no trouble taking Exeggutor out of the picture 👍🏽
Round 2, Koga Highlights:
Nita/Landorus should buff, evade & heal
Bugsy/Scyther EX buff & debuff everyone
Hapu/Musdale EX are here to debuff & sync move
This team is probably the jankiest for this week's line-up: since we're not using flinch or sleep, winning will require some evasion luck. You'll also need Bugsy's crit skill to refresh if you want an easy fight, but it's still winnable as my attempt shows. Focus on sync moving as much as possible with Mudsdale. As you gear up for those sync moves, be sure to toss around some Mud Slaps before the enemy mons get moves ready to help with Landorus's survivability. Your first sync move should wipe out the side mons, and if it doesn't then queue up a High Horsepower to take out Nidoqueen and stay ahead. After that, move spam away to wear down Muk and hope your second sync move crits to finish the job 🤞🏽
Round 3, Bruno Highlights:
Sycamore/Xerneas EX are on buffing & healing duty
Ramos/Victreebel put everyone to sleep
Sycamore/Bulbasaur EX should focus on sync moving & Leaf Storms
I wanted to make this fight as simple as possible and sleep was an easy answer to the round effect. Use Victreebel to keep the other team permaslept (if you're having trouble, then follow the sleep order I used in the video!). Gear up for sync moves with Bulbasaur, and throw around Leaf Storms on side mons so that you can keep ahead of the sync move countdown game. Your second sync move should have no trouble taking Bruno's team out!
Round 4, Karen Highlights:
Maylene/Medicham buff away
You/Cobalion bring on buffs & debuffs
Riley/Lucario EX are set up for huge overall damage
This is yet another easy-street buff-strike team since the round effect practically guarantees defense down on the entire team with Cobalion's Rock Smash. Buff up for a first sync move with Lucario, and get that Max Knuckle up as soon as your sync move lands: this will help you take out Houndoom consistently. After that, Rock Smash, Close Combat, and sync move your way to victory thanks to that sweet Sprint EX effect 😎
Final Round, Lance Highlights:
Hop/Zamazenta EX focus on buffing & Behemoth Bashing
You/Registeel are here to buff & heal
Molayne/Dugtrio spam Iron Head for flinching & damage
Even without the flinching and round effect, this is a relatively easy fight: Zamazenta's tanking and damage output is respectable. Buff up for a first sync move with Zamazenta to get the EX bonus, but if you want to make your life easy, feel free to reset if Hop's skill doesn't refresh. Use Dugtrio to keep the other team as flinched as possible, and heal up with Registeel as needed. Beyond that, the fight is reduced to move gauge management for the high energy costs of these Steel moves. It's still doable even if your Supports faint, so don't despair!
