How to Wrap a Shoulder Joint with an Elastic Bandage | Nursing Skill Tutorial

Описание к видео How to Wrap a Shoulder Joint with an Elastic Bandage | Nursing Skill Tutorial

In this video I demonstrate how to wrap a shoulder joint with an elastic bandage. The type of shoulder wrap I show is called a shoulder spica wrap or a figure eight wrap. I use a 6 inch elastic bandage in this video, which is ideal for wrapping shoulder joints especially in males. Shoulder joints are commonly wrapped after an injury to aid in healing by applying compression over the joint, which, in turn, helps reduce pain and swelling. In this nursing skill tutorial, I walk you through how to wrap a shoulder joint step by step so that the elastic bandage will stay in place and provide the most benefit to you or your patient.
