Through the skit we have tried to show the condition of Assamese Language when it comes to Education. With the advent of urbanisation, Vernacular languages have started losing their importance. At present a majority of the society ignore Assamese Language when it comes to medium of Education. In this Skit, by personification of EDUCATION, ASSAMESE LANGUAGE, ENGLISH LANGUAGE, SOCIETY, PROFESSION, TIME and AUTOTUNE, we have tried to present a picture of the current situation of Assamese Language( mainly in Education Sector).
Towards the end, through the voice over of TIME, we have tried to show a ray of HOPE. (although very few good Assamese films and music are produced but we are hopeful that one day " good time" will come.
And lastly the entry of AUTO-TUNE shows how currently some of the self proclaimed musical geniuses have been exploiting the Assamese language.
