Audrey Hope Style, Mind, & Literature Analysis | Gossip Girl Reboot (2021) Fashion

In this video, I will be doing a style, character, and literature analysis of Audrey Hope from Gossip Girl (2021). I will be going over her personal style, aesthetic overview, penchant for the finer things in life, and how she fashions her outer/inner life. Her wardrobe is an honest representation of herself tangibly conveyed not only within image preferences, but it is also reflective of her state of mind through a preppy, refined, and chic lens. I'll be breaking down the symbolism of her wardrobe in relation to her emotions and life's events. With an appreciation for the classics and a contemporary taste, she’s an avid reader who relishes feminist theory and is very outspoken despite her soft or icy conduct. Because of this, we will also be taking a literary glimpse into the mind in hand with the psychological impact her readings have on her.

Audrey’s novels of choice explore a range of topics such as womanhood, desire, and bodily autonomy to relationships, (particularly themes of affairs), scandals, and glamorous lifestyles of decades past. These novels not only provide entertainment and a moment of reverie but also aids in developing Theory of Mind along with an insight into her own life experiences. Through this, we can better understand her headspace past her cold exterior to her warm heart as she strives to navigate her glamorous life while feeling the loss of her girlhood, the demands of what it means to be a woman, wanting to explore her sexuality, and move forward in her relationships.
