So I've made the trip back to my local river to catch up and see how the dippers and wagtails are doing now that the chick should be born and exploring their new environment.

However it looks as though the dippers have left the nest and gone elsewhere so today I concentrated on photographing the grey wagtails as there are now two adult pairs with two chicks along the river, it was absolutely fantastic to photograph and experience and watch these young birds explore their environment and how unafraid they were of me being around them even to such a point as one of the grey wagtail chicks literally came within a meter of me before then turning round and making its way back.

A fantastic couple of hours watching these lovely birds out on the river.
