There is one popular Indonesian food we see everywhere in Jakarta, and that is Bakso. So, I thought this would be a perfect opportunity for me to show you guys my first experience eating bakso here in Jakarta Indonesia.

We went to a very popular bakso restaurant called Bakso Solo Samrat to try my first bakso. Bakso is a beef meatball. And they traditionally serve this beef meatball in the beef broth, along with noodles. I ordered one regular bakso and one bakso with beef ribs.

The bakso with beef ribs was amazing. The bakso was soft, bouncy and full of flavor. And the beef ribs were just fall off the bone tender. This was an amazing experience trying both the bakso and beef ribs.

Bakso Solo Samrat also served Es Pisang Ijo, which is a banana wrapped in a mochi type of crepe wrapper. It is served with coconut cream and shaved ice. This was a unique dessert and was well worth trying. It was sweet, with the flavors of banana, coconut and pandan. Great way for us to end our meal at Bakso Solo Samrat.
