Arif Mahmud Kisana was born in Pakistan and moved to Sweden in 1995. He

works in the field of medical research at Sweden's world-famous medical

university, Karolinska Institute Stockholm https://ki.se/. Medical research is his

profession and social work & writing is his passion.

He is the President of 'Akhuwat Sweden' https://www.akhuwat.se/, through

which he has raised millions to serve the destitute in Pakistan. His

philanthropic work helped students, people under poverty regardless of religion

& creed. Akhuwat Sweden also helped millions of flood-affected people in

Pakistan in 2022. His services to humanity in Sweden have been highly

acknowledged. Due to his outstanding services to the humanity, he was

awarded 'The Overseas Pakistanis Medal of Excellence' in 2022 by the

President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Arif Kisana is also member of the

Foreign Press Association of Sweden.

Apart from his philanthropic work, he is a columnist, author, motivational

speaker, writer, and blogger. He has written three books. His two books for

children, which are bases on Islamic thoughts, have been published by

National Book Foundation, Islamabad, Pakistan https://www.nbf.org.pk/.

These books are world famous and has been translated into more than 18

In 2007 he established Stockholm Study Circle with the aim of better

understanding the Holy Quran and get guidance to resolve our contemporary

and everyday problems, faced especially in a multi-faith society, in the light of

peace are highly admired. Stockholm Study Circle have conducted over 140

sessions over the past 17 years.

Arif Mahmud Kisana is also the chairman of Iqbal Academy Scandinavia. The

aims and objectives of the academy are to promote and disseminate the study

and understanding of the works and teachings of great philosopher Dr Allama

Muhammad Iqbal. Allama Muhammad Iqbal played important role for

interfaith harmony, universal brotherhood, and unity of mankind.

Arif Kisana conveys this message through his writings and vlogs, and he has

recently garnered substantial attention due to their informative and explanatory

nature.
