The 1970s were largely dominated by the Honda CB750. It was the original super bike, and all the other manufacturers tired to keep up. The easiest way to make more power was to make a two stroke. Suzuki built their biggest two stroke bike, the GT750, to compete with Kawasaki's H2 Mach IV. The GT750 was a good bike, but it had a host of issues including a massive failure point that would leave the motor dead, and it spelled the end of two stroke motorcycles...
