Caldey Island is a small rock just off the South coast of Wales and only 1.6km away from Tenby, the nearest onshore town. This beautiful little island is owned and occupied by the Cistercian Monks. There are approx 10 monks living there as we speak (2023) and approx 40 other residents residing there 😁

On this day I set off early and headed over to the island on a small boat from Tenby, which cost £15 return. I should add here that the day before this trip I was handed a pamphlet of many things to see and do on the island so I took it upon me to try and check everything off the list.... if possible. Did I succeed? Well, there's only one way to find out isn't there! 👀📽️

This island really is a little slice of heaven with beaches, coastal walks, forest walks, various flora and fauna, many churches and even a chocolate factory! 😍

So please, come and join me for this great exploration around one of the UK's Holy Islands and one of the least populated! 😎
