First, you need to check if your phone has the eSIM function. Go to your phone settings. Then look for the mobile network option or something similar such as “connections”. If the phone supports eSIM, you should see the option to turn on eSIM.

Now make sure that the eSIM is turned on.

Now, you will need to buy an eSIM. For this example, I will use Airalo. Go to google play store and search for it. Download it and once it is installed, open the app. Here, you will see many different options. They have packages for many different countries. All you have to do is select an option and tap on “buy now”. It is best to use a credit card for this. I have already bought a 15 day eSIM for Japan. Once you have bought it, you will want to activate it.

Go to your settings once more and select the “network” option. It is best to only do this once you have landed in the country that you will be using the sim card for. Now, you need to disable your main SIM card. To do that, tap on this option and toggle this button to disable it.

Once that is done, you can start to activate your new eSIM, which should show up after you have bought your eSIM from Airalo or any other provider. If not, you will have to add the eSIM manually and it will auto detect it.

Then, all you have to do is make sure you enable the eSIM that you bought by tapping on the 3 dot icon and choose enable.

Once that is done, your phone will switch to the new eSIM and you can enjoy it in the new country. Thanks for watching!
