BIO
Ulrika Davidsson is a versatile musician and maintains a performance career on fortepiano, clavichord, harpsichord and piano, and has given concerts in many European countries, USA, Japan and South Korea. She is regularly presenting and performing at international academies and festivals. Ms. Davidsson serves on the faculty of Ljungskile folkhögskola, and is a regular faculty member at the Smarano International Organ and Clavichord Academy, Göteborg International Organ Festival and Leufsta Cahman Academy. Ms. Davidsson holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance and historical keyboards, and a Master’s degree in harpsichord performance from the Eastman School of Music. A native of Sweden, she holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in piano performance from the University of Gothenburg; and the Organist and Cantor Diploma from The Royal Academy of Music, Stockholm. Noted teachers include Barry Snyder, William Porter, Malcolm Bilson, Willem Brons and Elisif Lundén. Ulrika Davidsson has previously been Assistant Professor of Historical Keyboards at the Eastman School of Music, Music Director of Rochester City Ballet, and has taught at Hochschule für Künste Bremen, the Royal Danish Academy of Music, Copenhagen, and the Academy of Music and Drama, University of Gothenburg. She is represented on CD with Bach’s Well-tempered Clavier I and Haydn Sonatas. Prizes include the Swedish Art Grant; the Adlerbertska artistic award; Mölndals Cultural Award.
