Beginner Airsoft Guide & Expert Tips

Today, we are discussing a topic many of you have reached out to us and asked us to talk about. This is our condensed version of beginner recommendations for new airsoft players of all ages. We cover everything like different brands, platforms, guns, gear, accessories, and random tips and tricks that will guide you showing up with confidence at your first airsoft event.

• Best airsoft gun system: We only recommend AEGs to new players because of their overall simplicity, reliability, and price point for the performance you get. They are also the most abundant guns on todays market so they also have the largest selection versus something like gas blowback rifles.

• Best airsoft gun platform: M4 or AK. M4 will give you a little bit more of a wider variety of choices and provide you with a better performing gun for cheaper (in general).

• Good airsoft brands: Krytac, CYMA, G&G, G&P, VFC, ARES, KJW, Tokyo Marui

• Bad Airsoft brands: Crossman, UKARMS, Lancer Tactical, APS, KWA, DBOYS, Valken, Army Armament, Angel Customs (getting better, but usually not the best choice), and Double Eagle.

• Recommended Gear: Quality lightweight combat boots, easy to run in tactical pants like 5.11 with rip-stop and we highly suggest getting them with knee pads built in, Gloves from brands like mechanix or even dirt biking gloves, QUALITY eye protection (DO NOT BUY CHEAP EYE PROTECTION EVER), metal face mask, chest rig/ plate carrier, spare mags, gun case(s), duffle bag, sling, bug spray if playing out doors, barrel bag, and premium bbs like the ones from 6mm plastic.
