A Lower Handlebar for my Greenger G3s Trackbike

The appropriate question is, why did I do this?

1. One thing I don’t like about sumo’s is the high up handlebars. I feel like I’m riding with ape-hangers. On most of my bikes I look for lower handlebar positions. This bike is no different than my Grom or Benelli for example. I have a pile of handlebars in my garage because of this common dilemma when I get a new bike. I went through the pile of bars and found something that seemed agreeable.

2. The other reason is, I wanted to get rid of the crossbar. I want to be able to mount things on top of the triple clamp. The crossbar prevented that. This is the stage, getting ready to make that modification. That’ll be future work, though.

I will also be mounting a new front brake master cylinder and a new brake line so that I have identical levers on the left and right of the bike. As of now they are mismatched, and it just feels a little weird. Overall this won’t make any difference in performance. It just makes for ergonomic comfiness.
