I'm starting a climb series to see how far I can get. I'm not in any way a good player, yet. I'm hoping to improve my jungle game using Teemo and Volibeare mostly. This particular episode is called "Prequel 2" in which I play Teemo in Normal Mode. I'm just getting ready for the climb. As I said before, I main Teemo and I'm going to sometimes play Volibear, especially when someone else wants to play him or a banning happens. For Volibear, I've only played him 3 times in a game.
I'm starting at Iron IV and I'm going to see how much better I can get and how high I can climb.
So any comments, tips, and constructive criticisms would be appreciated.
In this game, as Teemo, I'm jungling vs. an Ornn. My first thought about this champion was "How fast is Ornn's jungle clear?" I'm under four minutes right now and even though Teemo has been "nerfed" in the jungle this patch, you can still get to around 3:30. I haven't reached that yet. Maybe other Teemo's can do better, but that's what I can do right now. In this game I cleared and did top lane scuttle at 4:08. So, yeah, I'll need a lot of work. The game went pretty smoothly. I was surprised that Ornn didn't grab the first dragon after I went top for the voidgrubs. He went for a gank first instead of prioritizing the objective. I ended up getting all six grubs, two dragons, and a rift herald before the game ended. It was a pretty easy game since Tryndamere was farming top and then farmed everyone else. Yes, he had a couple of deaths, but singlehandedly killing Yone in the top lane 10 times, of course he was fed and carried everyone. Tryn, in the end, had the highest CS at 228 in 23 min, highest damage 40k+, Best Gold 17K+, highest KDA 10.5.
For my part, I was 7/2/4, KDA 5.0, Third in Gold, and out CS'd Ornn 132 to 84. So, I did pretty good myself, I think.
Things to work on as Teemo: My first death vs. Ornn and Draven, I could have flashed the dash stun. I had it up. So, I had a chance to depart from that situation. I lag moments, I should be farming. In my pathing from top to bottom or vice versa, I should be looking to peek my head in for a gank. But, really make sure the timing is right with your laner that you are ganking with. If not, move on and keep on farming. I'm not sure if I should be caring regular wards, should I be carrying sweepers and control wards? Control wards for sure, I'm pretty sure I should have had a sweeper. I think there was a couple of times that I could have AA then Q, then I would have gotten a kill. I still need to work on that go to two-hit from Teemo. In diving, I need to coordinate with my laners especially when it comes to holding aggro. I need to use my F keys so that I can check on what each laner is doing. Yes, I use the map to click through my lanes, but I need to use the hotkeys more to be more effecient about my information. This means I need to use tab pretty frequently so that I can check on CS count and items [both my team and the enemy team]. I need to take opportunities to counter jungle and counter gank. That means being aware of where all the enemy champions are, especially the enemy jungler.
All in all, it was an easy game and I would like to have more of a challenge to see how far I can push my Teemo gameplay.
