[Kyle Whissel] So what is the biggest mistake you see agents make and how would you correct it?

The biggest mistake I see real estate agents make, I mean, the biggest mistake agents make is they don't follow up. I mean that's super simple, but it's like sometimes common sense things like that or like you have to drill it into people's heads. Even with agents that work on my team who are awesome. I'll ask them, "What's going on with Jim?" And they're like, "Oh, yeah I talked to him two weeks ago." I'm like, "Okay, so he's dead. "He must have died, he must have been hit by a bus, "and his blood is everywhere." And they're like, "No no no, I'll follow up right now." So the power of follow up, for me, it's the three F's, right? So it's follow up, follow through, and follow back. If you do those three things all the time to every living person, you will be successful as a real estate broker. And it works, that's all you have to do. It's not like, it's not rocket science.

[Kyle Whissel] Right.

Like, it's great. It's just people, and staying on top of them. Some of our best deals have taken, like six years, all right? But it's been free.

[Kyle Whissel] Right.

Like six years of just saying, "Hey, I'm that guy. "It's me." And then when they're eventually ready, then they go with you versus the guy that's standing in front of them in line at Starbucks who happens to sell real estate on that one specific day that they made the decision to do it. [Interviewer] The right place right time shit.
