On September 30, 2025, prisoners in 52 prisons across Iran took part in the 88th week of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” hunger strike, protesting the genocidal regime’s execution machine.

This week’s campaign honors Somayeh Rashidi, a political prisoner who died after being denied medical care — a practice the campaign calls “torturing prisoners to death.”

The campaign reported:

46 executions in the past week

190 in September — the highest in 35 years

871 executions in the first half of 2025

Other cases include the execution of Bahman Choobi Asl (Sept 28), new death sentences for Hamed Validi and Nima Shahi, and the Supreme Court approval of Peyman Farahavar’s execution sentence.

The campaign quoted:
“The execution machine can be stopped with solidarity and unity. Every protest against a death sentence is a step toward ending this cruel process.”
