✏️While acute pain is a normal sensation triggered in the nervous system to alert you to possible injury and the need to take care of yourself, chronic pain is different. Chronic pain persists and may last months or years. Chronic pain can interfere with your daily activities, such as working, having a social life and taking care of yourself or others and it can lead to depression and anxiety. Environmental and psychological factors can make chronic pain worse. In this video I am explaining the mechanism of chronic pain. I am also talking about postoperative pain and pain management possibilities.
