Yamaha DDP-1 Digital Out Mod

In this video, we go over how to modify your Yamaha DDP-1 for digital SPDIF/optical out. This allows you to bypass using the 6-channel analog RCA plugs. Most modern receivers don't feature a 5.1 analog input channel. Plus, you won't experience voice sync issues with digital out vs. analog 5.1.

This mod is easy to perform. You may need to purchase some tools to complete this, but you will be happy with the results.
Tools/Supplies needed:
Solder Iron and solder
Drill with 3/8" bit
22 gauge wire (different colors preferred)
TOSLINK Optical Jack
(1) Chassis Screw
